LM-49 Single preparatory courses and interviews a.y. 2024/25

All students enrolling in the first year of the master’s degree course in “International Tourism and Destination Management/ITourDeM” (LM-49) must pass an interview to be formally admitted.

 

ASSESSMENT OF THE CANDIDATE'S CURRICULUM

Enrollment in a two-year master's degree programme is subject to the possession of specific curricular requirements (i.e. a predetermined number of credits - CFU in specific subjects or disciplinary fields) and an adequate personal preparation.

If you do not meet all the established requirements for access to Master degree in International Tourism and Destination Management (ITourDeM) - class LM-49, the Pre-admission Commitee will evaluate your previous career.

SINGLE PREPARATORY COURSES - only for students with specific subject areas to cover

Students with specific subject areas to cover need to pass the exams of single preparatory courses to achieve the curricular requirements which are necessary to access the two-year Master’s degree programmes. In order to be prepared for the exams, the Council of Cultural Heritage and Tourism Sciences informs the candidates on the readings to be made in order to meet the admission requirements and with reference to one or more of the following subject areas:

INTERVIEWS A.Y. 2024/25

After the enrollment to the master's degree course LM-49 (Step 3, Section "enroll in a two-year master's degree programme") and only after taking the exams of the single preparatory courses assigned, all students must held an interview about background, motivation and languages.

During the interview phase, the Commission verifies knowledge of English at least at level B2 (in the absence of certification), personal preparation and, for international students (from a.y. 2021/22), also the possession of a certification of knowledge of Italian language at least at level B2.

If the international student has a certificate of knowledge of Italian language at least level B2, the Commission invites them to submit an application for recognition (optional procedure for the student).

Only in case of a successful result of the interview, students can proceed with the formal enrolment and the payment of the tuition fees, enabling them to advance in the career at the University of Macerata, by getting credits attached to exams and other teaching activities.

NOTICE:

  • Students can attend classes even before passing the interview
  • Students can sit any exam only after the formal enrolment and the settlement of the due tuition fees
