SHORT DESCRIPTION The Wine Lab addresses the problem of isolation and lack of learning and networking opportunities for small wineries located in disadvantaged areas, by means of:

  • The creation of the Wine Hubs, groups of interest and learning communities, which will involve wine producers, researchers, higher education students, public and private stakeholders in the wine sector;
  • Increased mobility of students between the university and the sector (traineeship and internship);
  • The organisation of events, which, by using innovative formats, provide experiential learning to one side, and foster networking to the other side – these will be workshops, contests, intensive weeks, and will also provide insights to understand the learning needs of the sector;
  • The provision of online learning opportunities, tailored on the needs and developed in micro-learning units, mostly based on audio-video and animations.
